Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

Priority: Tier 1

Number: 97

Nick Bosa is the best player in the 2019 class and if Bosa is available when the 49ers pick, don’t overthink it, pick Bosa. He is an elite pass rusher and has some of the best hands I’ve ever seen, he can shed blocks and he will almost always win one on one and has shown the ability to beat some double teams in college. He is a stall wort in the run game and he is exactly what San Francisco needs to take their defense up another level.

Nick Bosa sheds LT Michael Deiter (4th Round grade for me) to sack Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook.

Nick Bosa sheds and gets around the tackle very quickly.

Bosa makes LT Mason Cole (#52) look like he’s got no idea how to play football then sheds Karan Higdon (#22) to sack John O’Korn.

Bosa very quickly sheds the tackle and gets to McSorely to hit him, (also what a throw by McSorely and what a catch by Gesicki).

For some unknown reason, USC thinks it’s smart to put a tight end and Ronald Jones (RB #25) on Nick Bosa….obviously he makes quick work of them.

Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson

Round: 1

Priority: 2nd Tier

Ferrell is 6’5″ 260 and has desirable length. He has a quite good first step, and has a plan of attack, he may not be super bendy but he has all the other traits desirable in an edge rusher. He is stout against the run and good with his hands. He doesn’t have an amazing ceiling but has a very high floor and will be a starting NFL EDGE rusher.

Ferrell gets by the tackle and then strip sacks the Texas A&M QB.

Ferrell sacks the Texas A&M QB (because he didn’t step up in the pocket).

Ferrell sheds the Boston College OT and nails the QB.

Ferrell gets a great get off, rips the tackle and strip sacks Jarrett Stidham.

Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky

Round: 1

Priority: 2nd Tier

Allen is 6’5″ 260 and has freak athleticism and crazy bend. Josh needs to develop his counters and repertoire of moves a little more but he has all the tools and could be the SAM linebacker for the 49ers who also rushes the passer.
